MORCA - Sea Otter Night Ride 2014

You are invited to go for a night ride with MORCA a chapter of IMBA!

MORCA is an organized voice for responsible mountain biking in Monterey County. We accomplish this by advocating for mountain bike trail access, maintaining area trails, and sharing good will with other trail users. We are involved in mountain biking advocacy at all levels of the community.

On Friday April 11th, 2014 at 8:00 pm MORCA is volunteering to lead the Sea Otter Night Ride.

Where? - Check in is at 7:30 pm at the MagicShine booth in the lakebed area (booth number 710):

All rides start at the Sea Otter Bridge at 8:00 pm and end at the MORCA tent on turn 5 of the Laguna Seca Raceway and includes Trail 47/48 (Couch Canyon). There will be a lead and sweep for each trail ride.

There will be lights to test from MagicShine (limited number available on a first come first served basis so check in early at the MagicShine booth)!!!

NOTE1: There is a nominal $5 fee to participate in this event.
All proceeds go to support MORCA a chapter of IMBA to further their trail work and mountain bike advocacy efforts!!!

NOTE2: ALL Night Ride participants must have a valid Festival Pass wristband!!!

A Ride will be two or three laps with a MORCA lead and sweep.

B Ride will be one or two laps with a MORCA lead and sweep.

Note: Each lap is approximately 4 miles and 500 feet of climbing!!!

Road Ride will be self directed on the Laguna Seca Raceway.

Note: All rides end on completion of the last trail ride.

Note: The Fort Ord National Monument is normally closed to access from half an hour after sunset to half an hour before sunrise.
