Night Ride Information Page
MORCA - Fort Ord Night Ride 2009-2010
You are invited to go Night Riding with MORCA!
Wednesdays 6:00-9:00pm

The night ride is a Fort Ord Bureau of Land Management (BLM) permitted and Monterey Off Road Cycling Association (MORCA) organized group event.
There is a nominal permit fee. You may pay by PayPal or Credit Card. Sign up on the MORCA Website. The fee is $5.50 for MORCA members, $7.50 for non members. Your PayPal Receipt is your Permit.
Join MORCA and Ride Free! There is an option to join MORCA in the PayPal process. Ride Free the week you join.
A Night Ride Sign Up Link will be posted on www.MORCAmtb.org at the beginning of the week of the ride. Visit the MORCA website to sign up for the ride.
You must ride with either the "A" Group (Advanced), "B" Group (Intermediate), or the "C" Group (Beginners) of riders on the designated night riding trails during the ride. (That's right, follow the leader and stay ahead of the sweeper.) Riding out of the group or off trail may result in fines approaching $200. Pay $5.50 or $190... plus, remember mountain lions are nocturnal. Your call.

Always carry your permit while night riding. Your permit is valid for the date indicated. You will need to show your permit to the ride leader prior to the ride or to any BLM, POM or other sworn officer during the course of the ride.
The Waiver from the MORCA website must be signed, dated and delivered to a MORCA elected official or designated person.
Meet at the parking area of 8Th and Gigling near the DoD building at 5:45pm Sharp! Map of 8th and Gigling...
You must be self supported with properly functioning equipment and bring adequate lighting systems to join the ride.
Your permit fees go directly to the local BLM office for projects on the Fort Ord Public Lands.
